I’ve started a lot of blogs. Like, a lot. And if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that I’m really good at not sticking with them. I write a few posts, forget about it, and suddenly months have passed. This goes all the way back to the days of Blogspot, Tumblr, and WordPress. If there was a blogging platform, I probably had an account - and then ghosted it.

So, why am I starting a blog again?

Honestly, I just want a space to write - somewhere to throw my thoughts down without worrying about algorithms, captions, or engagement metrics. I want a creative outlet that doesn’t feel like a chore, something I actually enjoy doing. And if I can get better at writing along the way, even better.

I also like the idea of having a record of things - important moments, random thoughts, milestones - somewhere outside of social media. Feels more real that way, like something I can look back on and see some kind of progress or growth, even if it’s just in my writing.

I don’t really do New Year’s resolutions waiting for a date to start something has never made much sense to me, but I guess I’m making an exception this time. My goal is simple: write and keep writing. Even if I look back at the end of the year and cringe at half of it, at least I’ll have stuck with it and have documented some memories and thoughts along the way.

This isn’t about being an expert or trying to build some massive audience. I don’t have all the answers - I’m just figuring things out as I go. But if something I write helps someone avoid a mistake I’ve made or gives them something to relate to, that’s pretty cool. And if I end up connecting with a few like-minded people along the way, even better.

So here’s to actually sticking with it this time - well longer than my last attempt at least...
